Madison River Engagement Session | Kristin + Shaymus

There’s something extra special about photographing people in a place that holds meaning for them, and Kristin and Shaymus’s engagement session couldn’t have been more perfect. We met just south of Ennis, MT, along the Madison River—one of their favorite spots to spend time when they travel from Salt Lake. This stretch of river is their go-to fishing spot, and it felt so fitting to capture their engagement photos surrounded by the Montana landscape they love so much.

The evening light across the wide-open valley and rolling hills set the most peaceful backdrop, and it was easy to see how comfortable and connected these two are together. Of course, their sweet pup joined in too, making the session feel even more personal and true to their life together.

I’m so excited to celebrate their wedding next year at Firelight Farm in Bozeman, MT. It’s going to be such a beautiful day filled with love, joy, and stunning Montana views.
